Max Ernst Museum Brühl of LVR

The museums focus is undoubtedly the unique collection of 60 sculptures from the private collection of Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning.
The collection encompasses the sculptural work of the artist from the late 1920's to the last works of 1974; with the exception of one stone sculpture, it consists of bronze casts. The richness and variety of the sculptural work assembled at the Max Ernst Museum bears witness to his reputation as one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century.
Presented in varying and contrasting ways, the bronze works will make their mark on the museum and the historic park.
