Information Center - Paffendorf Castle

Information and entertainment – the historic Paffendorf Castle in Bergheim offers both. Inside the manor building, RWE Power shows an exhibit on the excavation and utilization of lignite coal. And thousands of visitors each year are attracted to the 7-hectare palace gardens, its forestry & garden trails, and the exhibits of the Paffendorf Castle Gallery.

A bistro rounds out the offerings with food and beverages. During the summer, a beer garden inside the romantic castle courtyard provides cold refreshments, á la carte dining, as well as coffee and cake. So your visit to Paffendorf Castle will not just be informative but will be a host of sensual experiences for the entire family. All offers, except for the bistro, are free of charge.
