Start your bike tour at the Beethoven City of Bonn and pedal your way along the Rhine River with a great view of the Siebengebirge Mountains. Where the Ahr and Rhine rivers merge, head for the red wine paradise of the Ahr Valley and tour one of the most
beautiful mid-range mountain areas.A stop at one of the smaller vineyard restaurants is a must.
At the Ahr springs in Blankenkeim, take the Erft Bike Trail which leads you out of the Eifel Mountains along the Erft River. In the Rhenish Bight area, numerous castles and palaces are strung like pearls along your trail, and gigantic surface mining areas provide
fascinating views.
Before reaching the mouth of the Erft at the Rhine River, you will find an interesting scenery of arts and culture, as well as the City of Neuss with its Roman history. Your return trip to Bonn via Cologne starts right here.
