Daytrip: "Arts and Artists - from Rococo to Surrealism"

This excursion takes you into the stylistic epochs of rococo and
surrealism. Be awed initially by the UNESCO World Heritage site
of Augustusburg Castle. The castle is regarded as one of the
masterpieces of the rococo epoch, and it served as the blueprint
for the residence of many a German prince during the second half
of the 18th century. Walk through the gardens of the residential
palace, and enjoy a Mediterranean 2-course menu at the
Balthasar Neumann Eatery afterwards.

Take a stroll through the old town of Brühl, followed by a visit tothe Max Ernst Museum. For the first time worldwide, this exhibitcombines the most important facets of the Dadaist and surrealistartist Max Ernst (born 1891 in Brühl, died 1976 in Paris)in a time travel through 70 years of the artist’s creativity.
