Daytrip "Rhenish Stoneware - from Pottery Wheel to Ceramics"

This program will take you into the world of pottery for which the
Rhineland is world-renowned. Your excursion starts with a tour of
the architecturally impressive KERAMION in Frechen, internationally
regarded as the centre for historic and modern ceramics.

Afterwards, a city tour of Frechen will acquaint you with Rhenish
ceramic history and tradition, followed by a typical Rhenish lunch
at the Bartmannkrug Restaurant.

A visit to the workshop of pottery master Manfred Zimmermann is
scheduled for the afternoon. He will demonstrate his craft and
skills at the pottery wheel, and you may take home as a special
souvenir a small “Bartmannkrug”, a pottery jug from the
Zimmermann Workshop.
